To Muslims
Al Salaam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,
Dawah is an obligation upon every Muslim because it is commanded by Allah (S). Today, as the beautiful religion of Islam is being misrepresented and portrayed in a distorted image, it has become incumbent upon every Muslim to deliver the pure message of Islam.
Dawah is so important because:
-It is Allah's order, which we must obey: Allah says in the Quran: (Invite to the Way of Your Lord with wisdom and good advice.) (16:125)
-It is the work of Allah (S), which we must implement. Allah (S) says in the Quran: (And Allah invites to the abode of peace [i.e., Paradise ] and guides whom He wills to a straight path) ( 10:25 )
-It is the work of all Allah's Messengers, which we must fulfill. Allah (S) says in the Quran: ( And We certainly sent unto every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut) ( 16:36 )
-It is Prophet Muhammad's order (S), which we must obey. The prophet (S) said: ( Deliver from me, even a single verse.) Bukhari
-It is the work of Prophet Muhammad (S), and his companions, which we must replicate. Allah (S) says in the Quran: " Say, (O' Muhammad) this is my way, I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah; and I am not of those who associate others with Him) (12:108)
-It is the best work you can do, Allah (S) says in the Quran: ( And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims) (41:33)
-To avoid Allah's punishment and gain His mercy, Allah (S) says in the Quran: (And when they forgot that by which they had been reminded, We saved those who have forbidden evil and seized those who have wronged, with a wretched punishment, because they were defiantly disobeying) (7:165)
-It is our obligation and duty as Muslims living in the West to defend Islam and rectify misconceptions about our faith. Allah (S) says in the Quran: (And let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong, and they are the ones who are successful) . (3:104)
